Brief INTRO

FaZuu consists of three members (a girl and two guys) with the nicknames of beasts err.... i mean, of cute little animals. yah! FaZuu is shortened self satisfied abbreviation for [Family Zoo]. Basically u get the picture of why we choose to include the term Zoo...? Coz we're a bunch of whacked up insanely fun seekers carefree whutdaheck animals who follows their very own animal instinct.

Each person out there has their own inner animal in them, and here at FaZuu, is where we unleash it to roam freely (not your average zoo i tell you) no matter where you come from, what species you are, what background you are, and whatever weird things you do. Everyone is welcome if they can handle the 'pressure' of being with us. =D And one might be wondering why ZOO? Why not Jungle? Can you name me a jungle where we have such varsity of species in one place? :3 Hehehee..

For the time being, the only event FaZuu has entered is the annual Comic Fiesta. Here is where we sell out products and mingle around with other people from groups like us. It's a fun filled event for anime-manga-game-freaks!

HOW DID THE NAME COME UP?

It was a warm night. Nothing special about these kind of nights, in fact, it was downright boring. Then I heard the sms alert sound coming from my phone. It was Toragon (Ayez). She wanted to talk about the name of our project doujin group. Names like 'Onibaku' and 'Brazas N Sista' were rejected. They sounded.., weird... Several other names were tossed around, too, umm.., weird and humiliating to be mentioned, and were tossed out in the end. Then, I remembered a few of my works on Deviantart, and said something like "what about FZ, for Family Zoo?".
"Family Zoo? Hmm.., FaZu? Hahah, nama cam ahli falsafah China ja. Reject kot..." was what Torachin said.

Oi oi, that was Sun Tzu, and I happen to admire him a lot for his Art Of War. Well.., I kinda liked how it sounds, and Torachin didn't exactly reject it, since there was a 'kot'. So, I consulted mechaFROG, and he kinda liked the name, so I went back to Torachin and talked about it some more. In the process, FaZuu Street Clan and FaZuu Workshop came out. I kinda liked the idea that there could be different ways to use the name, and I think Torachin just liked the sound of it by this time. It stopped sounding like some Chinese guy and started sounding more like a brandname. So, the name stuck with us, and we became FaZuu

HOW DID THE EMBLEM GET ITS FORM?

Well, there's not much to tell, really... I've always been interested in graffiti, logo and emblem designs, even coat of arms, or family-crests of nobilities. When FaZuu was first 'built', I felt that it needed an emblem, something that is with a ‘groovy’ feel to it.

I wanted a simple emblem, something that didn’t have any pictures or drawings other than the word ‘FaZuu’ in it, but decided against it. Sure, even with mere words, a design might turn out to be ‘groovy’ and cool, but I thought that a ‘border’ made of the main ‘beasts’ of FaZuu would be way cooler. And so, the first emblem was born.

The second emblem came about when Ayez told me the border of the first emblem kind of reminded her of ‘Jaws’ or a shark (a shark with a frog’s head, that is…), so I made another one, using a different style and arrangement. However, the second ‘emblem’ looked more like ‘street-art’ and would look better as a graffiti than an emblem, so after some thought, we all agreed to stick to the first emblem design. The 'shark with a frog's head' is not that noticable anyway, and I personally like the clean look, smooth lines and 'Clamp'y feel of the kitsune's head, the frog's head and the tiger's tail. However, since the second design has its own 'charm', we decided to use it in future works as part of the background as such. It'd be such a waste to just throw it away...
